Terms for booking

By registering for courses or tours organized by Larsen Ski & Guiding, the participant is deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.

1. Agreement and Payment

The agreement between the parties is considered concluded upon registration and payment of the issued invoice. Registration is binding.
An invoice will be sent after registration, and the participant's place is reserved once payment has been received within the stated deadline.

If Larsen Ski & Guiding cancels an event, the participant is entitled to a full refund of the amount paid, unless otherwise agreed (for example, rebooking to a new date).

2. Insurance

Larsen Ski & Guiding does not provide cancellation protection, travel insurance, or accident insurance.
Participants are responsible for obtaining any necessary insurance themselves, including travel insurance and, where applicable, cancellation coverage.

3. Cancellation by the Participant

3.1 General Terms

All cancellations must be made in writing. The following terms apply:

  • Cancellation 30 days or more before the start date: 100% refund
  • Cancellation 16–30 days before the start date: 50% refund
  • Cancellation 15 days or less before the start date, or failure to attend: no refund

Larsen Ski & Guiding may, without obligation, offer rebooking to another event if capacity allows.

3.2 Cancellation Due to Illness or Accident

In the event of documented acute illness or accident, the participant may cancel subject to an administrative fee of NOK 1,500.
A valid medical certificate must be provided.

3.3 Special Terms for Glacier Hiking

For guided glacier day tours, the following cancellation terms apply:

  • Cancellation within 30 days before the start date: full refund
  • Cancellation later than 30 days before the start date: no refund

4. Changes or Cancellation by the Organizer

Larsen Ski & Guiding reserves the right to cancel or modify an event due to:

  • insufficient number of participants
  • weather or snow conditions posing a safety risk
  • illness or other unforeseen circumstances affecting the guide/instructor

The deadline for cancellation due to insufficient registrations is:

  • 30 days before the start date for guided tours
  • 15 days before the start date for courses

In the event of cancellation, all payments will be refunded in full. Alternatively, a new date may be agreed upon.

5. Health and Participation Requirements

Participants are required to disclose any health conditions that may affect the safe execution of the event.
Larsen Ski & Guiding reserves the right to deny participation if a participant's health, skills, or equipment are considered to pose a safety risk.

6. Changes During the Event

Larsen Ski & Guiding may make necessary changes to the program, route, or execution of the event due to weather, conditions, or other circumstances.
Such changes do not entitle the participant to a refund, provided the event is carried out in a safe and responsible manner.

7. Responsibility and Equipment

Participants are responsible for their own equipment unless otherwise agreed.
Equipment borrowed or rented from Larsen Ski & Guiding that is damaged or lost due to negligence must be replaced by the participant.

8. Illness or Injury of the Guide

If a guide becomes ill or injured, the event may be postponed or cancelled.
Larsen Ski & Guiding will, as far as possible, offer an alternative date. If this is not possible, the course fee will be refunded in full.

9. Limitation of Liability

Participation is at the participant's own risk.
Larsen Ski & Guiding is not liable for indirect losses, including losses resulting from interrupted trips, weather conditions, delays, or circumstances beyond the organizer's control.
